Audrey Churchill-McElhaney - 20 Women of 2020

Featured as one of Paul Davis’ “20 Women of 2020”, Audrey Churchill-McElhaney is the Compliance Manager at Paul Davis of Greater Denver.

When did you start working for Paul Davis?
October 1, 2018.

What were you doing before that?
I have been affiliated with the construction industry for more than 10 years—with experience in everything from purchasing, dispatching and estimating, project coordination, and kitchen and bath design, to serving as a regional sales coordinator for the West Coast.

How did you get the job—or what interested you in going for it?
I have always taken great satisfaction in helping people, and with my background in construction, Paul Davis seemed like a great fit! My own beliefs heavily align with the Paul Davis mission, vision, and value statements, so being a part of the Paul Davis family and assisting people in their time of need is something that really drives me!.

Give us 2-3 paragraphs of your duties and what a day of doing each one of those would look like.
I started at Paul Davis as a Project Coordinator and in January took on the additional role of Compliance Manager. I oversaw both mitigation and reconstruction projects. I ensure everyone is aware of the expectations and deadlines upon us each day, including which jobs need additional attention/data. I also audit our Restoration Management Software (RMS), the software that allows us to enter and manage our jobs in the system. I make sure we are capturing all appropriate data for each job, and I perform a thorough file review before final closure. I also field incoming phone calls and manage both program and non-program job intake.

On a weekly basis, I monitor and report on the Truth Score, a system created to keep track of our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). I create/produce reports for management. I host weekly mitigation and reconstruction meetings to review active projects. I create/present training materials to our team. I close the loop on all WebPunch surveys, the surveys that we send the customers after a job is completed asking them for their feedback. I manage vendor onboarding and compliance; provide IT support; manage/maintain individual and company certifications; assist with onboarding and off-boarding employees on all of our program platforms.

In addition, I help create, streamline and implement more efficient internal processes toward the goal of providing our customers a superb experience—and on occasion present these processes and procedures to our network for the common good. Each day is different with a mix of structured and unstructured tasks that keep me on the go!

Family info and how it relates to your job and daily life.
My husband and I have a 2-year old son, two cats, and two dogs, so my life is pretty busy from sun up until sundown and beyond. My family is very important to me, and they are the best source of rejuvenation during my non-work hours.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
My goal is to continue to grow both professionally and personally with Paul Davis. I enjoy working with our Greater Denver team and our associates at Corporate to improve our internal processes and procedures so we can continue to excel at the metrics game while also ensuring each and every one of our customers is well cared for from beginning to end. Indeed, 2020 presented new challenges on this front as in August Paul Davis Restoration Front Range/Boulder merged with our Greater Denver office to create a single operation that provides mitigation and full restoration across half the state of Colorado. And these are the new challenges to which I look forward as we continue to grow and adapt to the “new normal”!
