We are excited to welcome new Owners Sid Scott and Mark Buckner to the Paul Davis family! Their experience in construction, executive leadership, and business ownership, coupled with the expertise in restoration and construction from other members of the leadership team, will allow them to immediately expand their customer base in Central San Diego County while serving their community “The Paul Davis Way”.

Sid Scott has been in the roofing and construction industry for over 41 years. He has worked in every aspect of the business. After landing at a large roofing company in San Diego in 2001, Sid worked his way up to Senior Project Manager/VP of Sales where he had seen his most success in both sales and managing all aspects of the company.

Sid is well respected in the industry where he is known for his experience and expertise in larger roofing projects scattered across Southern California. Since 2011, Sid has been the Managing Partner with Premier Roofing CA and now is the sole owner. He is committed to providing first-rate service and first-class roof solutions at a competitive price. Shortly after taking full ownership, Sid added his General Contractor’s licenses to Premier which provides a full-service company experience.

Mark Buckner – Co-Owner

Mark Buckner – Co-Owner

Mark Buckner has more than 36 years of experience in the restoration and building industry. In addition to having previously owned his restoration and flooring business, Mark has fulfilled positions such as Estimator/Project Manager, Field Supervisor, Account Manager, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, General Manager, and Regional Director within the restoration and building industries. Mark has served as an expert witness on cases related to water mitigation, smoke and fire damage, mold remediation, and flooring defects. Directly before joining the Paul Davis team and opening Paul Davis of Central San Diego County, Mark spent 8 years in the Atlanta area where he was the Regional Director of Mitigation and opened 8 new locations in the Southeast.

Mark is Triple Master Certified by the IICRC to include a Master Certification in Fire/Smoke Damage, Master Certification in Water Damage, and a Master Certification in Textile Cleaning.

The Team

“We are only as good as those we surround ourselves with,” said Mark as he proudly referred to two key team members that he feels will be instrumental in the growth of Paul Davis of Central San Diego County.

James Lindsey (Mitigation Manager)
James is responsible for the mitigation team and team members in the field, as well as lending his field knowledge and background to assist in estimating. James has worked with Mark for the last 6 years. He brings years of experience in mitigation as well as estimating and will be responsible for demonstrating and reinforcing the “Paul Davis Way” for all current and future technicians.

Cameo Mello (Office Controller/ JCA)
Cameo will wear many hats in the new organization. She will use her administration background to fill the Job Cost Accounting (JCA) role and handle the company’s bookkeeping, vendor relations, and office management. Her marketing experience and construction relationships will aid in her responsibilities to market locally and generate new residential and commercial businesses. Her years of experience in construction project management will help her understand and accelerate the growth of this new Paul Davis office.
