Nigel Blair attended Saint Mary’s University in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. After completing his university studies, he decided that construction was his calling. At 20 years old, he embarked on his first major project: the Confederation Bridge to PEI where he was the youngest general foreman leading a team of over 70 people. From those early days, his professional career grew into very successful projects and businesses in the construction, steel, and welding industries in the U.S., Bermuda, and Canada.
When COVID-19 hit, he was confronted with a very competitive market in his industry. The opportunity to get involved with the Paul Davis family came along and Nigel thought about it for a long time. “I knew that with the extensive background in commercial building and residential building and with the right team, I could move into a field where I could pass on my knowledge, build a reputable business following and believing in the Paul Davis Mission, Vision, Truth and Serving Basics,” says Nigel.
Family
Nigel is married and has 3 children: 1 boy (27) and 2 girls (11 & 18).
Community
Nigel loves helping others at all times, not just in their time of need. He wanted to have a positive impact on his community since day one. So he jumped into the occasion when local leaders asked him to help bring back a Christmas icon from the 1970s in Eastern Canada. Woody the Talking Christmas Tree had not been seen by locals since 2006. Now, thanks to Nigel, his team, local vendors, and contractors, the Christmas magic is being revived this 2021. Nigel got this community project done while getting ready to launch his new Paul Davis business.
Kevin Bryden –Owner
Kevin Bryden graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce and received his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2016. Kevin worked at in the banking industry for 15 years holding positions as Senior Manager, Commercial Banking. He has worked in public practice accounting firm for 10 years. Kevin is married with two daughters and lives in Truro, NS. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is very excited to be part of the Paul Davis family.
