When did you start working for Paul Davis?
January of 2020
What were you doing before that?
Before joining Paul Davis, I worked for another restoration company for 10 years.
How did you get the job—or what interested you in going for it?
My journey in the restoration industry began right out of college. I started as an entry-level coordinator. By the time I hit the 10-year mark, I was a Regional Operations Manager overseeing three different territory operation locations across New England. I joined the Paul Davis family because I was looking for a new opportunity. I chose Paul Davis because I had a long working relationship with the General Manager, Brian Ruster. Brian was a client of mine back when he was an insurance agent, and I have always had great respect for him. I was honored that he wanted me to be a part of the team.
Give us 2-3 paragraphs of your duties and what a day of doing each one of those would look like.
As Director of Production, no day is ever the same. However, is any day ever the same in this industry regardless of your position? Seeing our team make customers happy, growing relationships of trust and transparency with our clients, solving problems to “make it happen,” and learning from our team’s mistakes, makes this a place that I love coming into every day. My daily focus is to support and grow my incredible team… whatever means necessary!
From an operations standpoint, I am responsible for holding to our organization’s standard operating procedures, while changing course when necessary to best suit our customers and clients. I am always looking for ways to raise the bar to set us apart from the competition. It is also my responsibility to ensure that we are hitting out financial goals. This includes focusing on hitting our monthly revenue targets while managing and reviewing our Rebuilds Division’s budgets to make sure that we are running jobs profitably and are being fair to our very loyal subcontractors. What I take the most pride in is being responsible for customer satisfaction. I make it a point to call every customer who is working with us while their project is underway, simply to introduce myself and check-in. I want them to know that they are not just a number to us. I want them to know that someone at a manager level has been keeping an eye on their project to ensure satisfaction and quality. While these are my general responsibilities, I don’t believe in sticking to a “job description”. I will do whatever is needed to support my team and exceed our client’s expectations.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
One of the main reasons I joined Paul Davis is because it is a growing organization with great leadership. Having good people in an organization is the foundation for growth. We have an incredible team here at Paul Davis and my goal for the next 5 years is for us to continue to grow our volume and presence in the industry.
