Greg Kemp
 | Greg was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, where he was brought up in a multi-generational construction company. After graduating from Western University, Greg held various corporate roles, from regional sales management to division general management within Fortune 500 organizations. Greg moved to Prince Edward Island in 2020 with his wife, Emily, and their now 8-year-old son, Simon, where they began building a collection of small businesses. Greg and Emily have been married for almost 14 years. |
Allan Brown
 | Allan is a finance professional with a successful 25-year track record in actively managing money and investing across both public and private markets. Allan embarked on his financial journey after graduating from the Honours Economics program at The University of Western Ontario in 1992 and completing his MBA at McGill University in 1994. Allan spent the early part of his career working for Investors Group, the country’s largest mutual fund company. He became the youngest portfolio manager in the company’s history when he took over the Investors Summa Fund. Under Allan’s management, the fund grew from $200 million to over $3 billion in assets and achieved a Morningstar 5-star rating. Alongside his colleague Geoff Barth, Allan launched and co-managed the Investors Science & Technology fund which grew to become the largest Science & Technology fund in Canada. In 2000, Allan left IG to launch the AIC Technology Funds, which grew from $0 to over $100M. Driven by a shared belief in the need for absolute return alternatives, Allan and Geoff left the mutual fund industry to become partners in a New York hedge fund startup. After a successful stint south of the border, the partners returned to Canada to launch their own hedge fund, Burlington Capital Management Ltd. The pair launched several Canadian long-short hedge funds and over the next 12 years generated some of the best risk and adjust returns in the industry. In 2017, Allan retired from managing external client assets to focus on his own family office, investing in small privately owned businesses, and giving back to the community through charitable endeavors. Allan and his wife Claudia founded the Jonathan Brown Foundation in 2021 in honour of his late son Jonathan “Jonny” Brown. Their goal is to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and support children’s hospitals in Canada. In 2022, the foundation’s Gala raised over $230,000 for McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton to help with the expansion and renovation of the hospital’s pediatric oncology unit. |
Starting Team
Emily Tripp is Greg’s wife and the Job Cost Accountant (JCA) at the new office. She has a background in administration and data analysis.
Jonny Lefurgey is responsible for Mitigation and Estimating. A native of Prince Edward Island, Jonny has a background in electrical contracting, and oil field operations, earned over the 15 years he spent in Northern Alberta before moving back home. Jonny is married with 3 young children, 2 girls, aged 6 and 8, and one boy, aged 9.
Robert Keough is a carpenter by trade who owned and operated his own construction company before joining Paul Davis PEI as Director of Reconstruction and Property Improvement. With over 25 years of general contracting, rough and finish carpentry, Rob brings a wealth of experience to the largest division of the operation. Rob has been married for 24 years, and they have one daughter, 25.
