Practice Heat Safety Wherever You Are

Heat is known as the “silent killer” because people often don’t realize they are suffering from heatstroke until it becomes a critical situation. If you work outdoors or spend time mowing or gardening, take frequent breaks and seek air conditioning or shade to give your body a break from the sun and time to cool down. Better yet, do your outdoor work in the cooler hours of early morning or evening.

Heat-related deaths are preventable. Protect yourself and your clients from the impacts of heatwaves.
Job Sites - Stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible.
Indoors - Check up on the elderly, sick and those without AC.
Vehicles - Never leave kids or pets unattended. LOOK before you LOCK.
Outdoors - Limit strenuous outdoor activities, find shade and stay hydrated.

Call 911 if you, a client, or a family member present any symptoms.
